Today I purchased my Very Prissy “Mohawk” earrings. One is an ear cuff and the other that comes with it is teardrop style. I wore them out today and got the attention that I love. I walked in to McDonalds to get some tea, there were a group of people around my age some a little younger than me staring at the side of my head like WTF!  I couldn’t help but grin. Then one girl was just staring me so hard in the face they started balling with laughter. I loved it. Its uhhh I don’t know what to say so many people say unique now a-days. This jewelry is one of a kind. If you want to stand out in the crowd and make people stare this is where its at. they are bold and funky.  It has this edge to it. Its very creative. Ive never even heard of a ear cuff until I met Kelanie (the creator of VeryPrissy.) Lol. So as you can see from previous post this week. I did a photoshoot and interview video with Ms. Kelanie and some of my friends.

On facebook I’m in a Fashion group. Well one day I posted a question asking the individuals in the group what they wanted to see from phuckingfab, what would make them visit the site every day. Well people replied back about seeing more Memphis based stuff. And I read the comments and check out the people who liked the comments and Kelanie stuck out to me. When I went to the Very Prissy fan page and started to browse I was in aw lol. Like who creates thisss!!! So to make a long story short I contacted her and asked if she wanted to do the interview and photshoot and she agreed.

Meeting Kelanie for the first time was kind of nerve racking. I’m so young and I don’t think that people take my blogging seriously. I wanted things to go as professional as could be. Kelanie brought in some amazing pieces for the shoot, and all of her answers to my questions where amazing. She is very confident and I love her attitude. She has a personality that I would like to have when I get older.

The interview:

#phuckingfab: how did this all start?

Kelanie: well I stared making jewelry for myself, and every time I’d go out people would ask where did you get your earrings from? And I’d tell people well I made it! They asked could they buy it I was like sure the rest is just history.

#phuckingfab: do you plan to expand?

Kelanie: expanding the very prissy brand? Well you can always expect the unexpected I never tell people what I’m going to next just keep visiting my page.

#phuckingfab: any advice for people trying to start a business in Memphis?

Kelanie: the advice I would give for people trying to start a business in Memphis is defiantly be original, just because everyone else is doing it and it looks easy the reality is this is an expensive industry to be in. this isn’t something you can just jump in overnight thinking you’re going to be a success, it takes time, it took me 2 years to get to where I am at, nobody knew who I was, now I guess people know (laughs)

I enjoyed Kelanie and doing the interview and shoot. I love my earrings. I will continue to s/o very prissy in the future and show my support.
